UGLY CASSANOVA
From www.pitchforkmedia.com
Sub Pop has set a release date of May 21st for Sharpen Your Teeth, the eagerly awaited solo debut from Modest Mouse main man Isaac Brock. Recording under the moniker Ugly Casanova, Brock enlisted a variety of talents for Sharpen Your Teeth, including Tim Rutili (Califone, Red Red Meat), Pall Jenkins (Black Heart Procession), and John Orth. The album was recorded by Brock and Brian Deck at Glacial Pace.

As you may be aware, Ugly Casanova is also the name of Brock's publishing company and the subject of a bizarre short story on Modest Mouse's official website concerning a mentally unstable fan who sends his idols scribbled lyrics to turn into music. Brock is expected to tour in support of Sharpen Your Teeth with an as-yet-undetermined Ugly Casanova lineup.
