the 'all night diner' tab is completely wrong on here, so i decided to figure it out. i did most of it in like 10 minutes. if you have any corrections post em or email me at phenix199@hotmail.com. All Night Diner Modest Mouse Building Nothing out of Something i think either a guitar or bass is just playing a D (a----5-- works best) for the whole song, but there is an overlay over it like so: G5 D5 ^powerchords you can either play the G up on the 10th fret of the A, or on the 3rd of the E. either way sounds fine at different times. i think isaac switches around. as for the riff going on, is like this: |---7-------------------------| |--------7h8p7---7--------| |------------------------7----| |------------------------------| |------------------------------| |------------------------------| at times he goes down and and plays another riff im not too sure about, but you can just pick around with an open D chord. i play it like this |----------------------------| |-----2---2h3---2--------| |----------------------2----| |----------------------------| |----------------------------| |----------------------------| i think thats pretty accurate, anyways. as for the bass tab to this song (kill two birds with one stone, eh?), youd pretty much play it like this G----12--12---12---12---12---12---12---12----7---7---7---7---7---7---7---7 simple enough for me at least. i think this is about 95% accurate, but i may be wrong. go nuts. -matt ******************* Modest Mouse - All Nite Diner Tabbed by Austin Smith cool_guy546@hotmail.com Help and Contributions are Welcome I'm trying my best. I hate when I tab something it always seams it can be played more than one way...maybe I just suck..lol. the whole song e -------------------------- b ----------7bp5------------ g ---------------5-7-6------ d -0\7--7------------------- a -0\7--7------------------- e -0\7--7------------------- sometimes the little thing at the end isn't played just strum the sevens with muting and playing and some sliding listen to cd for strum pattern or just get into it and ad lib it. Actually messing around this sounds better right now e ----------------------------------- b ----------------7bp5--------------- g ---------------------7-6-5--------- d -1\5-5-xx-7777--------------------- a -1\5-5-xx-7777--------------------- e -1\5-5-xx-7777--------------------- the high part at the end could be played either way and might even go back and fourth between them. Just when bending and pulling of make it like a silent pull off don't hit the 5 when coming off 7. As for drums it sounds like he's hitting the bass drum pedal to that beat...throwing other stuff in there. I am sure bass follows guitar, but I'm no bass player and can barely tab guitar myself. I hope this helps and enjoy.
