actually, if you already have a passport, you don't need a whole lot of
money at all.
my parents met a girl on mount kilemenjaro (sp?) that took her $3500 life
savings and was traveling europe for 3-4 months ($12/day or so).
so all you need is a couple thousand and a bag of clothes... as long as you
can find a way to make a few more bucks while you're over there... fly
somewhere with no extradition treaties...
