$a and $_ aren't digital media devices, the program is a digital media
device (making the entire computer a digital media device).

Let's say that I have hypotheticly compressed the new Britney Spears
album down to this data: 0xDEADBEEF

So if I walk up to my program and type in 0xDEADBEEF, then the program
will COPY the DIGITAL MEDIA and print it out. In practice it would be a
lot of typing, but I didn't notice a character limit in the law...
Hell, there are radio stations broadcasting the linux kernel and DeCSS
code. Digital media is a vaporous concept, and a digital media device
is even more so.
