What I'm looking for is a way to take a laptop screen and use it for 
something else. I have a pair of dead dell laptops that I'd like to turn 
into a car computer with some obvious modifications, so anyone with a clue 
how to turn a laptop screen into...I dunno, just a monitor, I suppose, that 
would rock.
  What I'd really like to know if there's a way in hell to wire an IDE hard 
drive in place of a laptop drive. Yes. I  know it won't fit. But if it's 
behind the fancy bench seat of my work truck, it won't matter what the hell 
it looks like.
  Thoughts? opinions?
